Animation is a very unique skillset to have as an artist, and so few people have mastered it. With the growth of our studio, we noticed the need for extra hands was parmount. However the skill gap was vast from the applications we received to the quality needed. This is mainly because many young adults are unaware of the tools and pathways to making animation a career. We should know, it took a long time for us to be where we are, but we want to close that gap. Not only to help budding artist but to create a workforce that will grow with us and make African animations compete globally.
Expand your horizon
We decided to create the Young Animators Programme. A short programme run at primary schools to introduce the fundamentals of animation. We believe in planting the seeds at a very young age. To galvonize young artists and open the horizon for what their dream job could be. We have expanded this to young adults who have recently completed their secondary school. With the help of subsidy's such as Artbank SA and the Gauteng Film Commission, we have placed real hands in our productions. Giving many a first time expeirence in working for a studio with real clients and real expectations
We are now expanding it further. We introduce to you Di.cademy. We have built programmes for those who would loev to learn animation at home but have no means to pay the very high fees in tertiary education. We also accomodate the people who are curios at doing digital arts as a career but want top first explore what the path entails. Our programmes are plug and plpay and are designed for: - Schools Extramural programmes - School Holiday Programmes - Solo/private lessons - Teaam building and small groups For more information feel free to visit Dicademy.framer.website.
